How OONNI Is Building a B2B Marketplace for Hospitality Equipment

About OONNI

OONNI is a B2B marketplace built for the hospitality and foodservice industry’s equipment and supplies, from everyday essentials to luxury brands. Its promise to buyers around the world is “Source globally – Buy Locally”. Buyers, sellers and manufacturers join by invitation ahead of its public launch.

The Challenge

Equipment catalogues are large, deep in specifications, and always changing. A seller needs to carry the manufacturers it sells without retyping their catalogues, and to keep its own catalogue current in bulk.

The Solution

OONNI runs on our marketplace platform. On top of it we built a seller portal of its own: sellers browse the manufacturers on the marketplace, search their SKUs, and add a manufacturer’s products to their own catalogue, then edit it inline or in bulk from a spreadsheet.

The Impact

Bulk catalogue updates up to 61% faster

We measured OONNI’s catalogue upload end to end on staging, before and after our October 2026 release. Re-sending a batch of 25 products fell from 6.5 to 2.5 seconds, 61% faster, and a batch of 50 from 12.5 to 5.3 seconds. A re-sent product that has not changed no longer rewrites its attributes.

One listing, however many sellers carry it

A manufacturer lists a product once, and each seller who carries it adds its own variant of that listing rather than a copy.
